Local Lessons

If you are a piper who lives within driving distance of London, Ontario, you can arrange to have private, one on one (in person), lessons with John Cairns.

Lessons are one hour in length and students are encouraged to record their lessons for future reference.

All students will be taught using the Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns curriculum and any additional reference material or music that may be required will be provided by John Cairns.

If you are interested in making arrangements for local lessons, here are the steps involved in becoming a local student of John’s.

Step 1:	Please contact John directly by email at jcairns.bpsolutions@gmail.com.
Step 2:	John will then send you an email response with a detailed PDF file that outlines how the local lessons work (including pricing information).
Step 3:	After reading the PDF, if you still want to proceed with arranging for lessons, you will need to send John a new email with the following information: Your name. Where you live. The length of time you have been playing on the practice chanter and/or bagpipe. Your previous instructors (if any). The competition level you currently play at (if applicable). A list of some of the tunes that you can currently play (if applicable). The pipe band you play in (if applicable). An indication of the: Number of lessons you are looking for each month, Days/times of the week that you are available to attend lessons, and When you would like to start.
Step 4:	John will then send an email with an indication (based on the availability you have sent him) of the days/times that he would be available to teach you.

Note:      John will be more than happy to accommodate your availability, but as John has many students vying for his time, his time fills up quickly.
